I wanted to deviate from my usual method of drawing human characters, as well as study some lighting techniques, and do something a little more loose with inspiration from the talented Cory Godbey. Please check out his work: [link]
Its INCREDIBLE! AMAZING! I dont know how to express what I felt seeing the background....the title was interesting and what I found out here....You left me speechless with it..............
Wow, thank you so much for the amazing feedback. I am so glad someone likes this piece so much. I have found people don't notice the background at first glance, it's a different sort of surprise I guess. Anyway, thank you very much! I appreciate every word!
the lighting turned out very well. it was always so hard for me to not make a complete mess of it in watercolour, but i think you hit it all very nicely.
Thank you very much! Watercolor is more difficult to really capture light effects sometimes. You have to plan everything ahead, not like oil or acrylic. But I'm glad you think it turned out, I so appreciate the feedback!
hahah so cute, so dainty reminds me of a mix of Miyazaki and the white hare/rabbit from Alice in wonderland xD; And Godbey once I saw his stuff haha really, I love the way you draw vertical things haha ; trees, bamboos and such twisty, crooked, or stick-y things ♥ Really nicee~
